Just like the Title say how in the hell do I feed a giant beetle in order to start the bonding process. Everytime I try to feed him, it just goes in his bag.

Yes they prefer meat....but when i drag and drop meat on a giant beetle it goes into it's pack and not it mouth... heh

So I want to feed it not put meat in it pack. Can't figure out how to feed it. Must be a trick or something i'm missing.

Are you sure you've got raw meat?

I know alot of people use Magery to summon food for their horses and such. I believe you need raw meat for the beetles. Sorry if you are already doing this, just trying to think of a way to help.

My blue beetle prefers raw ribs, hehe.

Edit: Also, I try to drop the meat unto the beetle's head area, instead of where his pack would be. I really don't know if this makes any difference, probably not...maybe worth a try though.

Rumor has it that beetles like raw mongbat meat... but that is only a rumor from the stablemaster in Skara Brae. ;)

I had problems with this when i played UO too. You really have to try and aim for the head.

Thanks for all the replies, I am greatful...Guess what... u have too aim for the head, lol i can't believe i had this much trouble =P.... i play UO for years and this still pissed me off....Not no more ty all lol...(still laughing)

odd...I don't remember ever aiming for the head. I succinctly remember several people going to put large quantities of uncooked meat (ribs, chicken, etc) into the pack and trying to drop it on the beetle like you would on a pack horse...only to have it all disappear in one meal. Oopsie! Same with large masses of fruits etc to a pack horse.... oh the giggles from those times.

omg when I first started playing i was like Beetle wtf... why's no one hanging out at britain Bank.... then someone told luna was the new place lol

Even funnier was during the Magencia invasion, people were dropping Yukka, Coconut and Date palm trees onto pack horses and the pack horses were eating them, Has to be one of the most expensive meals on the planet.
