Re: new house rules RULE!
Damn straight. Those cheesy plotters will have to haul with a packie now like the rest of us.
Maybe they'll quit Idocing because of the change. More for me! |

Re: new house rules RULE!
I take it you will no longer be able to plop down a plot over items? 'Bout time!

Re: new house rules RULE!
Today on Atlantic - a very peacefull Felucca plot decay.
A few people taking what ever they wanted. Finally I started to transport 36000 scrolls to the bank, which took some rounds. After I was finished, I tried to place a max storage plot. Well, some time later, I still was trieing to get the best due to the wings of the neighbour tower, a red message popped up telling me that the tool cannot longer be used for a while. Fine, but at least it should give a warning before - like you have now 3 more tries before the tool will not work for you. Luckily enough I had another account still ready. The other trap - if you do not have a house and simply want test first - if the selected house type fits, you are still placing instantly and are now hanging for that hour with the unwanted plot. Happened to me, as I did not exactly know the message for a blocked former IDOC plot and the obstacles did not allow me to place that castle on Drach. Well so I tried the tower first where it was fallen - wow now I had a tower and to wait one hour - tadaaa! Here I think, the placer should always be asked, if he wants to place now. *Salute* Olahorand |

Re: new house rules RULE!
This made me chuckle because I can relate. I camped a small 9x9 idoc alone a couple weeks ago that had 95000 vampiric embrace scrolls, and about 200k in various boards. I felt wrong leaving all that, considering the scrolls sell for 101gp a piece initially, and I was dreading hauling them 2000 at a time. Luckily the plot was near water so I dragged the several huge stacks to a boat and sailed them up to Serpent's hold. You can open the bank from the water, heheh.

Re: new house rules RULE!
I love finding a good stash near the coast, makes it *much* easier to take home heavier items. Of course there are added risks doing that in Fel, but the boat fights I've had were fun

Re: new house rules RULE!
So let me get this clear: with Publish 52, when a house falls... you cannot place immediately. You must wait until a timer expires, which has a random amount of time attributed to it once the house falls. This eliminates the ability of scripters to automatically place a house once the first one disappears.
2ndly, it renders the placement tool useless after a certain number of attempts for a period of time. This ALSO hurts scripters, since their script simply tries to place over and over and over until successful. So in the end... we have more fair DOCs?!?! Please confirm that I am understanding this correctly! If so.... Good job, Devs. Good job. |

Re: new house rules RULE!
The way I read it, and the way I have seen it perform since the publish, Repowski, that is correct
. Even the powerhouse IDOC'ers are bringing packies and such now. Gone (hopefully) are the days of standing under a house sign waiting for the scraps! Wooohooooooooo!!!!!!!!
