I have GMed my mining and am well on the way with my smithing. The problem is I have no idea how or where to sell things.

I assume that with GM smithing (or better) and some runic hammers I should be able to make stuff that is worth something. But that's no use unless I can get it to market. I play on Oceania (quiet shard).

Any advice on selling stuff would be appreciated.

Where do I start an auction, and what would be the best stuff to try and sell?

ever see any books lying around your busiest shards banks? Most auction houses advertise this way. Pick up a few and see how many acution houses are on your shard.

Do you have gm armslore on your smith? Cause if you expect to sell weapons or armor to people. They are going to want the bonuses for gm armslore on anything they might purchase.

Gm armslore adds 5% to your Damage Increase for every weapon made exceptional so with a gm+ smith your DI will be 40% (35 for gm+ and 5 for gm armslore)

And if your making armor then gm armslore adds +5 on your resists. It does not add +5 to each resist just +5 more overall.

Example let say you have a gorget with the follwing resists:
Physical 10%
Fire 10%
Cold 10%
Poison 10%
Energy 10%

craft this same gorget with gm+ smith and gm armslore could be:
Physical 11%
Fire 11%
Cold 11%
Poison 11%
Energy 11%

or any combination of 5 points to any one or more resist points.

Did that make sense?

If you have a house, you can set up a player vendor, then mark runes and leave them at the busier banks, or stand at a busier bank and gate to your shop while making announcements. Or, you might want to check shops around Luna and see if anybody is renting out vendor spots for reasonable rates.

Or find a spot at Luna in Malas - on occasion there are vendor spots up for grabs and you can snag a spot to sell your items.

check out the links in Baldguys sig he is a vendor master if you are planning on setting up a vendor at your house

If you can handle shadow elementals, grab some gargoyle's pickaxes, mine for shadow ore in Fel. Then make shadow heater shield and sell them to every npc blacksmith in the shard. You make 30-35 gold per shadow ingot. Depending on your boredom level you gan gather millions in no time.
