havent played in 2 years just am wondering if focus is even useful for pvp or pvm.... seems must temps dont have it so if its not useful ill pick up Busho for it.

It's pretty much useless on anything other than a mule.

I understand Focus is the Stamina Regenerative skill (with a portion to Mana as well). Also needed for Spellweaving. Additional research is recommended on this. although on my dexxer - I've opted out on the Focus (for other combat related skills to fit) and utilize stamina leeching weps to toggle to when needed...As for Spellweaving - I'd gather more research

You have a slight misunderstanding about the focus needed for Spellweaving.

Spellweaving doesn't require the Focus skill in any way. The spellweaving spells spend mana just like magery does, in that sense it needs good mana regen to be effective, but it's not tied to any other skill per se.

What spellweaving does require to be good is a Focus, which is an actual item in your backpack. Casting a particular spellweaving spell inside an arcane circle or any pentagram will create that Focus, and the more weavers cast it together, the better your Focus will be (1 level per arcanist casting, up to level 5).

As for the actual Focus skill, I find it's good to have at least a little bit especially if your stamina regen from items is low, just to make sure you can run without dropping stamina constantly. Human characters have no problem since Jack of All Trades ensures a minimum of 20 Focus skill anyway.

To add on to what Adrianna said, the focus that you cast with other weavers can actually reach a level 6, which I assure you is simply awesome to have hehe. To do it requires that 5 weaver pay for admittance to Prism at 10K each (gold, no checks). From there you have to run all the way through the dungeon...at the end there is an arcane circle that adds 1 level to your focus, allowing you to reach a level 6 focus. It IS worth it, especially if you are all GM or above, as not only do you get the level 6 but it lasts for 9-10 hours if I remember correctly.

W-w-w-well, maybe not useless. *hic* But you can cover dem bases alot easier wit other means like dex increase, stamina suit, woot knows all dem possibilities.
