Yet another question

I have a question concerning treasure hunting.

Is it necessary to have mining in order to dig up a treasure chest with a map

? I remember reading somewhere that it was, but that was quite awhile ago.

not necessary but with mining the higher the skill the further you can be away from the actual tile (sorry dont remember how far it goes maybe 5 tiles at gm?)

Hello, you're right, 5 tiles, better save the skill points. Plus, all the coordinates are posted at stratics. So with a sextant you don't need to worry about finding the exact tile.
