Once again my search-fu is weak.

Where are the various victims of the black order badge quest? (Serpent Fang, Tiger Claw, Dragon Flame)?

they are in the citadel, the peerless boss arena, in tokuno

either try uoguide.com for directions, or look for a public rune library with either a rune marked as the citadel, or tokuno peerless, something like that. Either way you need to click on a crate to enter (kind of like how you click on the iron maiden to enter bedlam, unless you do not know what that is either?)

I've not been to Bedlam either, but I am (trying) to go through the quests with fighter while I am working on my crafters. Thanks for the info. I am of to find out what kind of damage I can take. ;D

you will not be able to take alot of damage. the ninjas in the citadel like to swarm you. If you are just going for a quick look, get ready to see gray.

try to find a group of people to go with. Peerless do need a group to go to.

Oh yeah, I grayed. I didn't even get to the fishing village where the box is supposed to be - elite ninja popped up in the woods, and so did a reaper. The reaper heaped spells on me while the elite ninja killed me in record time.

My time in UO is sporadic at best, so I don't usually get involved in groups, as I don't have the time to organize an event or group *and* do it at the same sitting. So I solo a lot, which means my experience is limited - I accept it, but it would be nice (from my perspective) to be able to do a little more, solo-wise. It will come in time, I just need to work on bringing my people up in their skill branches a bit more.

Still can't believe people solo swoops... 'twas entertaining watching them hunt, until I tried it myself (by accident - don't know what I was thinking). BAM! hehehehe

Maeglid cats has quite a few informal guilds you might want to check into. These guilds dont require tons of participation but do have peeps on at various times who might be able to help you out with some of the harder areas. They also tend to plan out guild hunts which might fall at good times for you.

Interesting thought... I am part of a VERY small guild right now, but I don't mind tagging along on some other open guild...

Maeglid, you'd be surprised how easy swoops fall with the right template, they really aren't difficult at all, even after the buff. For the Citadel, find a rune library that has a rune right to it for you, then you won't risk the elite ninja's nor the lesser hiryus in the area. Once you're in, don't linger around, ya gotta move fast or they are all over you lol. In the Citadel, using Honor is your friend.

I can solo swoops in 2-3 minutes but only with my tamer's super dragon.. I can't think of any other template..

Well, pattern seems obvious.

However.. After 6 months, Discord finally at 105 and with swoop you only get : "your skill is not up to that task". Loooong way to go.

Discord is not one of the easiest of skills to train.

You'll break through about 107, if I remember correctly. However, even with a modified 120 discord, I still fail frequently.
