I do not know if this is the place to ask but here goes.
After the patch session is completed on my laptop, I then select the "OK" button and then nothing happens. I have ran my anti-virus, registry clean-up and changed the processes. It still does not work well. I have asked EA Tech via e-mail and have done all that they answered.
Does anyone have a way to get this resolved in order for me to play the game? I am at a loss.
My Laptop is a HP Pavilion DV 8310us. I am running Norton 360 suite.
I have 1 GB of RAM, and running Windows XP Media Center Edition Ver. 2002, sp2.

When you say does not run well are you referring to lag, graphics, etc....? Which client are you trying to play KR or 2d?

I had installed 9th Anniverssary then switched to KR.
Can you explain how I can find this client? I am still figuring out the aspects of this game. Thanks.

My first impression is that trying to run KR on that laptop is not gonna happen well if at all. I just dont think there is enough ram to handle KR. My advice would be to uninstall KR reinstall 9th anni if necessary patch and you should be able to play it fairly well. I have twice the ram and twice the operating speed and still have problems running KR.

After uninstalling KR, is there anything else I should be aware to complete this process?
I wonder if there is still a registry key stuck and not allowing me to log into UO.

I think once you uninstall you should be good but I'm sure before much longer someone with more expertise in this will be here to help!

You are going to want to uninstall, delete any residual file structure, reboot, and re-install 9ed.

If you are running Windows XP and have restore points set, it might be a good idea to restore to before you made changes to UO.

Incidentally, KR runs brilliantly on laptops...you just need to have a beast like mine:

Dual Core T7700
4GB Ram
Dual nVidia 8800GT video cards

Barely even notices that KR is running =D

It is running well on laptops, even on less high-end ones, but I think you should have a graphics card with dedicated ram, not shared memory.

How did you get a dual videocard laptop?!? Or perhaps, -where-? Drool...

I'm running a Compaq (yeah, I know) Presario with 768 MB of RAM, and KR is a fast slideshow. I need to move on t another laptop if I wanna run it.
