Advanced Character Treasure Hunter

Okay so I recently created a new character to aid in my other ones that I have. I took on Treasure Hunter and I have the basic skills - but I am trying to open some chests like one from Miasma and a few from a Dark Wisp Paragon and they arent opening. So Im sure i have to get my lockpicking up. But how?

Now, I know you all have posted in this forum but I am not comprehending what it is I should be doing. If someone could explain a simple way for me to do this that would be great.

My lockpicking is 85.1
My Magery is 70.0
My Cartography is 85.0
and I have some musicianship

So what hints / tips can be shared with me?
Id appreciate so much

wow! thanks for that. I have a little bit to go.

Do you know what is in either of those chests? I have like 12 Dark Wisp chests now . . . are they worth it?

Yea save the chests With luck you can get something..

Look around on your shard(Ask people and so on) There is always someone that got a training gallery for Lockpicking.. Will easily raise it to 100.

Re: Advanced Character Treasure Hunter

Dark wisp chests contain around 800ish gold and a Devious map (lvl5), a few gems, and junkety junk junk.

Miasma chests contain up to 1200 gold and an Ingenious map (lvl6), a few gems, and even more junkety junk junk.

Read stratics for a good guide to raise your lockpicking. At 85 you are on your way to getting gains from lvl 3-4 dynamic boxes in dungeons.

For examples of dynamic boxes run in Destard and run into the eastern area just before the water elle pool. Along the southern edge of this room there is an area with stacked crates (static), and 3-4 randomly spawning dynamic chests. Stay in that room for a few minutes you will see that the chests will re-spawn. Attempt picking t hese (mind the traps when opening them). There are rune libraries around with many locations pre-marked for these dynamic chests.

Hit a rune library near you and cycle through all the different locaitons and pick as many as you can. You'll earn a good chunk of FREE change and raise your picking as you go.

Also try the back rooms of Vesper bank contains ALL levels of dynamic chests.

Good luck.

Re: Advanced Character Treasure Hunter

Thanks for the advice. I did find someone on my shard with a nice gallery of lockpicking rune books that is helping me out (slowly but improving) and I have gone to a few dungeons and picked the chests.

And thanks of the wisp / miasma chest containers . . . . I now have 18 of them since besides what I have gotten, others just drop them because they are quite a few stones - so I guess Ill have a nice little payday when I can open them.

Re: Advanced Character Treasure Hunter

Just be sure that if you are keeping the wisp chests in your house that you have enough room to store everything without running out of space and losing something. Although the chest is one thing, all items in it count against your house storage. You probably already knew that, but I figured I'd say it anyway.
