The problem is smart players are using accounts solely for this exploit. So even if you ban the bard it is no big deal. This bug needs to get fixed.

I've been stealthing around champs a lot, but I fail to see any personal advantage to calling GMs on these people...it's so much easier to steal scrolls from the blue protector robot...

Theoretically, of course. All I've managed to steal to date is a 105 spellweaving and a skull of greed from Brit Gate. Wrong place, wrong time - that's me!

On the wither subject, my Mage with Spellweaving and SS puts out a LOT more death than a necro with wither. 0 real skill and +60 necro with items to easily get into wraith and cast out the wisp. Almost 0 mana cost with protection on casting essence of wind, and unlike the mage multi-damagers, essence dosent spread the damage.

If you really want to take a chunk out of the script bards, use a stealth Spellweaver with a max focus, stealth protector in the corner, WoD the champ, snag the scrolls, and jump to the staroom.

I still haven't found anyone using this on Sonoma. Apparently, there is some benefit to FL on the shard after all...besides easy steals, that is!

Since they fixed the virtue timer bug I have experimented and found that you can script it a new way even faster than before. I'm ashamed to admit that I have used the new bug to solo lady m's.

I just saw the same people using this peacemaking exploit again in Despise this evening.

Did you kill them and take their scrolls? It seems like fair repayment.

I almost wish I could come across one of these people - seems like the bard bot would be easy pickings for a legendary thief...particularly if they are using a blue to cast area effect spells.

That worked the first time at a Harrower (we got all their scrolls) but now they have murderers checking for stealthers so it is impossible.

Hi, i'm new here, sorry for this being my first post but I was reading and found this interesting and wanted to share my story.

Roughly a year ago you could find me soloing a champ spawn at all times of the day and night, my shard was empty, I got tons of scrolls, dual cliented a necro/peacer and a stealth protector.

I no longer do it but I wanted to fill in some holes here.

This exploit has been around for many many years and has been fixed many times.
I guarantee that on every shard that atleast the big fel guild is using this exploit if not the other guilds too, it is widely known and kept quiet, it makes pvpers a lot of money.
It's used to solo any and every monster in the game.

The reason you see people on a necro casting wither is simple, they typicaly build a suit with a lot of lrc/lmc/mr and while in wraith form this gives them near unlimited mana while fighting the right monsters. However, the serious player using this template with a lot of gold or resources can build a suit for this template that actually gives an unlimited pool of mana, also the expensive suit will have the max obtainable 97 spell damage increase, which if were talking about the baracoon spawn, will one hit kill the first 3 levels of spawn combined with the right skills 120 mage/med/necro/spiritspeak/peace/music you get some extra damage in there, so were talking about casting a wither that will one hit kill everything in the area, usually about 5-20 monsters all dead in one hit.
The expensive suit is actually very weak, the resists are all very low, but not needed, when you know nothing will be attacking you then you obviously dont need resists, which makes that particular suit an easy kill in pvp.
It never took me more then a half hour to solo a baracoon spawn and that was casually doing it, getting bored and dying atleast a couple times a spawn.

Not once did I ever see a GM, not once was I woried about it either, there aren't GMs anymore.
Today it's a warzone out there, there are no GMs anymore, GMs used to be the police of UO who atleast occasionaly caught people letting others know they might get caught, but currently it's a free world, there are no cops, crime is everywhere and there is nobody to stop it.

Getting actual GMs back would be the first step in the right direction.

This exploit is not fixed on the new Test Center which is a big disappointment.
