UO-Risk...Where to play it?

It's more like giving a bigger meaning to smaller events, with a good vs. evil feel. A long term goal, I guess.

Now for pvp events Gak, CaT, Se'an, & CK can all already fight each other, is it possible for the 13th to just war ATD? maybe Malia could temporarily join the 13th for events? or if the SV alliance can war ATD then she could stay in SoSV....I'm not sure how it all works.

*I believe alliances can war alliances, alliances can war single guilds(and vice versa), Single guilds can war single guilds, but war cannot be waged on a single guild that is part of an alliance.

I do think it would be cool to be able to actually hold the pvp events in Vesper, bridge fighting sounds fun

*Having the whole game set up for pvp in Vesper might take a whole day or so to play one game. When everyone on one side dies, the land is taken and battle is waged for the next island once everyone is set. This does sound fun! I REALLY like this idea...

I'd also suggest that since this is the first time we are trying this, and there will undoubtdly be bugs we will have to work out along the way, we should try and keep it simple, we can always add stuff later.

Gak mentioned in the event post some of the options for pvp:

"When I speak of a side getting to chose the rule for the event I mean things like:"

Gm only items

No pets
No mounts
No potions
and so on...

Should this change per event or should we just agree on a Rules of Engagement for the duration?

Also for events that have to be held in places other then Vesper, like Archery, lets agree before hand and have runes marked, or a runebook along, so we save time by already knowing where we are going for the event.

*We could hand out plenty of runes for the next event at the Paxlair meetings

What about Alts? Do I have to stick to Havok for every event or can I field my best toon for events? I do think there should be a master list (we wouldn't need to list who's alt is who's), of who is going to participate. Guildmembers/Alliance members may not post on the forums but they may want to join in on this, so we'd list them.

*If I had alternate characters, I would have an opinion on this. I think its a good idea. Being stuck as a humie/elf must be a drag. Perhaps have the sign-in book in game somewhere? A messageboard would be good for this, I think.

I just meant instead of debating in-game where to go to play darts or hold a archery match we could decide ahead of time and make sure at least one person who can gate has all the needed runes, maybe one of the ref's ?

Ok, joking aside, I kind of like the idea of mixing pvp with events, its something new and it may draw more people that may not want to do the pvp part but would like to do the event parts.

Having said that I think it would be in our best interest to allow people to participate in the events, (if we still go that route) but make it clear that the pvp is optional, may get more people interested in it then. just my 2 cents though.

We can always try the all pvp version, (I do like it) for another time, or do a rp bad guys attacking good guys city in fel at some later date.

Even if you are -1 at PvP, you might have to limp to even it up a bit.

On a message board you would sign up on that character, you could sign up a dozen characters on each side if you wanted to; and no one would know who you, the player, were, I guess. I dug what you were saying.

PvP Vesper would be fun four on four or more. play all day, rotate people as folks come and go. But that is for another time, We should not speak of it infront of the Good.

Sounds like the makings of a plan.

Before we start any big campaigns, it might be a good idea to meet in game one night and try a little bridge fighting 3 on 3 or such. See what we run into with possible issues.

Perhaps we "weight" the event bag so it's 2/3 Bridge fighting or a non-fighting event. Perhaps we throw in a "two event ticket" where you have to win both events to gain the "neighborhood", win only 1 and you do not get it, lose both as the agressor and you then actually forfiet one "neighborhood"?

This doesn't have to be a one day event. We could try to hook-up say 2x a week, with a 3-4 week run on a game. The weekly events could be run with one during est day, then one est night later in the week . (Using est as an example), this would allow our fellow folks across the pond a way to participate.

Also we need to make sure someone will take care of images and write-ups for the events.

Any Alt is fine with me.
