What makes a good piece of armor?

Yesterday I went to making some sleeves with horned runic kit. What does one look for in total resist? Over 45 or over 50? I know the higher the better but I if I it adds more stats or bonus then the resist drop some. What dod you look for in resist when bonuses are added.

Lets say that I made a pair of sleeves with the following:

50 total resist, 3LMC, 2 HP Regen, 10 RPD
46 total resist, 2 MR, 12LRC, 90 luck
50 total resist, 5lmc, 17 lrc
48 total resist, 1mr, 4lmc

I have made some over 60 total resist but they have no bonuses.

just of few of the 60 I made. I have them list in a spreadsheet. That I would someone to look at and see which are keepers and which i can throw away.

I don't have arms lore GM yet. I am at 91.7. So I am not going to make anymore until I have it GM so I can look at the difference in stats.

Re: What makes a good piece of armor?

Personally, with or without mods I like 50+ resist per piece. This will pretty much assure you can put together a good suit. If I am using the AOF or POM, I want 60+ resists, 'cause you are essentially losing an armor spot worth of resists with those items, leaving you 5 spots. Those 5 spots need 60+ resists on each piece to wind up with a suit that is 60+ in each resist. As long as I can get at LEAST 60+ on each resist, plus the mods I want for the total suit, I'm happy. For PvP, I do shoot for aroun 75+ fire on a suit though, to assure I stay above 60+ after being corpse skinned. So..........short answer, 50+ if using 6 pieces, 60+ if I am using a no or minimal resist piece in the suit.

Oh, and good idea to finish off Arms Lore, as you are losing 5 resists/piece that you currently make. No sense wasting the kits. Also, I highly recommend you get a very finicky player to look at that spreadsheet, as if you aren't real hardcore in your needs, you will save a lot more than you need to, probably can't sell, and consume storage space lol.
