Ah, a very inspiring read! I've always wanted to partake of others' belongings, but the fear of death has been a strong deterrent until now. Your escapades have inspired me, however, so perhaps I shall give it a go. Thanks!

A suggestion for those of you who have not tried the thief profession yet, and have production shards as your primary. Don't do it, you will not be a happy camper. Create a character on Siege and see what the fun is about. The creation of insurance has, for the most part, killed the thief profession on those servers...la

This is true.

If you're starting from scratch, go to Siege. I'm too stubborn to uproot.

Hilarious, my nephew and his buddy both are in there. My nephew is Sassy Pants, who lost his Katrina's Crook, his buddy Anxiety didn't lose anything. That was great, I ICQ'd both of them the link hehe.

Re: THIEF on Great Lakes

GL has a lot more foolish people than Sonoma, it seems! I never seem to find anything of value, and the chase always ends badly... I'm curious as to how long it took to find marks...

Fortunately, FL never casts reveal after they raid and kill a champ so I'm at least able to make ends meet with discarded 110s and gold explosions!

I'm a big fan of the "locked down box on the steps" bot killing myself =D

Re: THIEF on Great Lakes

Chad: I just finished reading all 135 episodes, and I must say I hope you continue/come back to UO.

Incidentally, what is your template? I've seen your FAQ, but I have yet to find anything labeled, "King of Thieves' Template.'

Share?

Re: THIEF on Great Lakes

I wish I knew all about Siege before I created my template on Atlantc. I have only been playing 20 months. I wish I could transfer to Siege I would. But I must tell you that there is still lots of oppurntinies to steal on the Atlantic. Just the other day I stole the 10th aniv sculpture, my first steal (wishing I would have taking some pics but i was at work). And snooping in packs I have seen so many powerscrolls and such to steal. The biggest probelm that I have is being slow and new and remembering which keys I have assigned to the macros but this will come. But as I learn my template and take pics I will post here.

Re: THIEF on Great Lakes

The only positive to the production shards is the size of their population. The biggest problem is the fact that Trammel rules exist in most areas. The Fel rules are everywhere on Siege. Running around Doom gives you the risk of being PK's. Running around Luna, same thing. The new Asian areas...all fel rules. On the production shards, Felucca (at least on Atlantic) is populated around Yew gate...that's about it. Even the PvPers hang out in the Trammel areas when they aren't fighting.

IMO, that's lame...la
