The Clock is definatly ticking in Moonglow (pics) {{Spoiler}}

An interesting post with screenies from Flutter,started a debate on what might possibly be in the pipeline for us.

Larissa set the tone for intrigue and mystery further

*que's ominous music*

What is the Fate of Moonglow? WHY is the blackrock detector, not even finished yet, sinking into the ground?? What lies below this site????

.......*gets her blackrock ready...eyes glowing red*...my precious......*grins*

Maplestones train of thought was feasible

I may be completely off-base, but I suspect that there was an intention to refresh to the towns and cities as part of the KR-era overhaul. Given what's happened around New Haven, I was originally thinking that there was also a master plan to slowly transform the Trammel map to break the symmetry with Fel and make the Tram landmasses/cities look more like the Ultima IV-era map. But I assume we would have heard something more about it by this point if that was really the plan.

I like simonovsk's take on it best though.

I wouldn't be surprised if they rubblized Moonglow now, given the succes the rubblization of Magincia has been.

And make way for the Abyyysssss

~~~~
Eventually Maplestone began peicing things together
I think people need to relax a little ... but, whenever it comes (which still may not be fore a while yet), if the event still resembles what we saw hinted at in the stress test last year, it's going to blow a lot of peoples' minds
~~~~

Setting minds in motion ,this brought Larissa to be the first to start to nail things in her post

.....cloak of corruption ring a bell???

Alternate...universe???

Hmm...

(stress testing the event)

*tick tock...tick tock....*

The client changes are published before the server (this includes the map changes). Because of this, you may get stuck since the client thinks there is a hole, while the server does not. This will be resolved when the servers are published.

Magincia brought about its own fate due to pride.

I have it on good authority that Moonglow will not suffer the same fate as Magincia, however, Moonglow may become the starting point of something else entirely...

Otis Firefly tried to spell it out further for those who werent getting the 'hints'.

lol
just give it some thought, who is hinted to have been behind the stealing of the book of truth, behind the candle of love...who could possibly be waiting in the shadows to come play with us?

~~~~
While Larissa went off in search of some thing else
If I recall correctly....when we found that little hole in the corner of the blood dungeon....the horrors that happened down there were in some way related?? I'd have to find that article....grrrr..*goes searching*
~~~~

and in reply to Maplestone's question

Have the shadowlords been used before in gamewide events? (that is to ask, is their existence/background "known" at this stage of UO canon?)

Otis Firefly said

they were mentioned by the gargoyle at the beggining of the candle of love quest, the gargoyle escaped the one of the shadowlords, they were hinted at being behind the stealing of the books of truth aswell, and im not 100% sure but i also think the time lord mentioned them when he was actually responding to keywords at the rifts, other then that , i dont recall

Maplestone was happy

The hole in blood dungeon was for cleaning up those pesky FOA folk who blew up ... er temporally/dimensionally revised ... Haven.

Oh - and Otis, thank you for reminding me about the mention in the Candle event. I remember now being a little startled by that because it was a startling blunt revelation after so much crypticness

Last post and spoiler goes to Galen

Yes.

Click here for the UO guide article on the Shadowlords.

1. They were mentioned by Sin'Vrall the Gargoyle at the start of The Darkness quest, that led to the purification of The Candle of Love. Specifically, the gargoyle was an ex-employee of Astaroth, the Shadowlord of Hate.

2. *coughs* Shadowlord Faction anyone?

3. They were specifically mentioned, as was the Faction devoted to them, as part of the fiction for the "The Principle Pieces" scenario, during which the Bell of Courage was repaired by use of Black Rock.

I think a few other times they have come up too.

So, yes.
