I saw a thread on GL asking if anyone remembered a particular guild, which made me reminisce on my early UO days. Does anyone remember a guild called The Pluggers (led by Plug)? They were on Atlantic, but I believe they also took up on other shards and eventually moved to other games too (Everquest, I recall)... this is back in the late 90's or so. I was dating one of the Pluggers in real life back then - Propagandhi, I think his name was. He hung out with a guy named Quickbeam. Ahhh, the days when Pluggers lined the wall of Vesper bank, dressed in dark green robes. They claimed to be anti-PK's, killing the player killers. I was never good at PvP, so I didn't fit in with them very well, but I remember being in awe of their guild.

The Pluggers were the most well known Anti guild on Slaughterlantic.
We became one of the most feared PK guilds on Seige Perilous.
We still exist but we are very inactive. We played WoW and got to around 200 members on Gorefiend then quit. Currently what's left of the core membership are too busy in RL (marriage, kids, businesses) to play at the level we did back in UO. We have played AC Darktide, EQ Rallos Zek, DAOC Merlin, Shadowbane (as Kill Cult), WoW Arthas and Gorefiend.

i remember the pluggers, back in the day on atlantic, one of the first few memories i have was seeing them run around covetous, loved those days, hunting the harpy room, a red came in, everyone scatterd, some escaped, some left in a grey robe

My first memory of the Pluggers is as Anti's in Yew valley circa 1998. I spent my first year in Vesper sewing shirts for armor and a 7 x 7. They protected us newbies from the likes of Gaul and Mary Poppins.(insert pk you remember here) If I made it home with 500 gps I was doing well. Gaul many years later became a good friend. He had the 7 x 7 next to Chaos Shrine.

Back in the day, fireball and earthquake was the killer spell of pking. They had a fairly large village and but later became the bad guys. Excellent pvpers. I'd consider the time frame some of the best days of UO. Certainly the most fun I've had in the game.

Yes Pluggers was well known as a great anti guild on Atlantic, special for their red members. Not all PK's was blue at that time as it was possible to PK with field spells without becoming red. Atlantis had alot blue EV PK's.

About being one of the most feared PK guild on Siege Perilous, that's big words.

Sure there was a few of you on Siege but it was mostly your reputations from Atlantis that made you known.

I would consider UDL, GC, FA, Q:Q, J-D to be some of the most feared guild from the past of Siege.
