What they should do ASAP is to change the item lists and make them unique on all the shards that are left for this event so at least they can have a fun and challenging event that will last more than 5 seconds...

I would have thought that people arriving with pre-prepared bags would have been disqualified for cheating, but apparently not.

There are a lot of very disappointed and angry players on Europa right now. I hope that steps will be taken to avoid a similar occurance for the rest of the event schedule.

I have read through the feedback on the boards regarding the event. So I have actually made 2 modifications to the event itself.

1. Players can only win on 1 account period. So if you won on Europa you can’t win on any other shard.

2. I will wait 15 minutes before placing the submission chest. So that if players retrieved a list and are sitting their waiting with the items in hand they will not have an advantage.

In light of these changes to improve the event to make it fair for everyone I will be running this event again Thursday 21st (europa only) at the same time. This is the only time I will be able to rerun the event due to the changes.

I also want to include there are multiple lists. So I will be rotating those more frequently.

I know I won't win any hunt, but I just want to be able to participate in my home shard. Unfortunately, that's not gonna happen, unless they run it again.

Well after reading an example of a feedback form

I have just witnessed the "Valentines Scavenger Hunt" on Europa.

Did it not occur to anybody that if you kept the quest items the same for all shards, that those who tried earlier on other shards would arrive with the quest items already in their backpacks?

The event was "won" by 2 x-sharders who made new characters just for the event: They "won" before half of those present had even picked-up their quest bag.

I look forward to hearing your justification for this - on a public forum such as Stratics, perhaps.


Congratulations. I have never been motivated to give bad feedback before, but you have just made a mockery of everything I thought UO stood for.

one can only applaud Adida for rerunning the event with multiple lists for Europa.

I am sure the screams from other shard's players will be loud enough to make this concurrent on other shards also.

This is what money greed and collectors made of UO. of course EAM are happy that people crossshard.. Since they win from it.

and imo if a Event ends like that then Im better off without a event. Think through the event and all posibilities of possible .."Cheating" before launching it.. Im sure they were just intending good in what they tried to do - But not good enough for a MMO..

Well the event went ahead,with some Europa Players making it to the first 5 after some confusion. I know one was Lucy and 1 was Trevelyan.

Only about 13 people turned up though,which is dire really for a Ingame event.

All kudos to Adida [Chrissay EA ] though for running this and then re running it to give folk a next chance to take part.

Are they re-running the event?
