help with stealing

Am I doing something wrong. I can not gain a skill point in stealing. I purhcase 30 from a NPC and I am am sucessfully the items no matter how it stones it is and I can not gain a skill point. I have doing this for the past 30 minutes and nothing. I am not even close to my cap. I am at Buc Den open a chest and place the items in the chest and I steal each item never failing but I do not get any skill points. HELP HELP

buy a packy, steal from that. maybe order it to guard. Can be they turned off the boxes. (packy worked fine about half a year? ago)

also if your in a guild loose it and gains will be quicker

What I was doing was taking a packy to the guard arena in Jhelom (fel of course) tell your packy to guard you if you are guilded, throw some empty bottles or stacks of gold in the packy and steal steal steal. Make sure you are close to at least one guard when you steal you'll get better gains.

Don't know if you looked here or not, but make sure you are targeting the individual item and not doing a general steal off of the container.

I have been training stealing for the past few days now by macroing stealing gold off a packhorse in felucca.

Gains have been slow but steady.
With about 10 hours of training a day...
Day 1 -> 10 to 80ish
Day 2 -> 80 to 98ish
Day 3 -> 98 to 104ish
Day 4 -> Hopefully when I get home tonigth I'll have 110 skill.
