Ok a couple things to check.

I looked up the error you're getting and this is what it said: This error is most likely caused by improperly configured UAC settings or when running as an Administrator.

Please create a new Windows User account and run LOTRO from there. Doing so will use the default UAC settings to run the game, and should allow LOTRO to run correctly.
And check to make sure your firewall is allowing turbinelauncher.exe, lotroclient.exe and turbineinvoker.exe.

Do what Nessa said and then just press Continue - it should then patch over the client - Can ofcourse first do as Nessa said and then press update since it saves times if that work

If not.. try fool the computer with changing its settings to UK settings?

I cant run LOTR as admin so I had to create another log in account on my PC.That should sort the problem *fingers crossed* as the message you get is 'General Error' rather than a patch error.

If that doesnt work, however, here you can find a link to downloading from the diisc [ if you have one ].

Might be just easier to re-install as someone suggested, save standalone patches somewhere that got you to book 11 and reinstall that far.

Then - use the oldfashioned "update" procedure to get you up to book 12?

I know I had to do that from the retail CD.

But also the advice about a new Windows account also might work

well i finally got the hubby on there to look at it and Aparently it took josh 6min what i had been trying to do for days...

he went in and made it run as admin.

i right click and tried that many times to no avail and many little pop ups telling me i cant run that as admin..... anywho end of story alls well!

I now have me a little Guardian tank on snowbourn names Brewyn
