There is no going wrong really.
The one big benefit of UO over most other games is that you can easily "unlearn" a skill.
As long as you are dropping skills (the arrow next to it set to down) you can raise another as you go, keep doing that until you find the combination of skills (called a template) that works best for you.

There are some pre-set skill templates like the ones I listed for you, but those are more or less an average of what people like to use. It's been tested and proven so for most people it is considered "safe" (usually those people are not much for experimenting). If you like to test things a bit more you can make a template as hybrid as you like.
