Hi all,

I made my Bard a looooooong time ago back when Discordance was 'Enticement' and thus completely worthless. Now, I know what Discordance does but the question is... is it worth it?

A few people I know bought an Advanced Character Bard and dropped Discordance because they kept failing and decided it was useless, yet people on UO Stratics are singing its praise for 'high end' stuff.

Also, is it easy to train if I decide to take it?

If you are going to fight high end stuff, it may be the most valuable of all the barding skills. The ability to take an ancient wyrm and knock 28% off its stats is awesome from a fighting standpoint. My legendary bard can sit in destard and work aw's all day without dying. I peace, cast ev, disco, cast ev, peace, peace, peace 'till dead. Lather, rinse, and repeat lol. It is also the current flavor with bard/tamers. Much easier for pets to kill a discoed opponent.

It is not "easy" to train, but it is not uber difficult either. Go to the Stratics website, go to the profession forums, go to the bard forum from there. In there you will find a training table created by a guy named Poo who is the master of bards. This guy has created multiple bards on almost every shard. It will take some time, but I think he can GM disco in a few days of intense training.

Most fun for me, so far:

With 70 discord (easy to get if you go the advanced char route, not too hard to get to from bought skill), put on a +30 disco jewel set and get a +6 or higher fishing pole. Then, go to twisted weald and discord cu sidhes for gains. Sic your pet on them to get good gold, and they also replenish your bandy supply.

When you get 115 or higher, you can now reliably disco swoop. Pity they nerfed the artifact drops and buffed the monster...hardly worth farming swoop unless you bring a packy to haul away the gold...

At 117, you have a chance to disco paragon cus. So far, I've been unsuccessful, but I do at least get the attempt message.
