Re: Wooohooo
I had no idea full-trained cus were fetching such a price. That would explain the large numbers of people I see in Twisted Weald training on trapped pixies...
What is the fastest way to train a Cu in healing? I thought about discording a pup to get additional gains, but others swear by non-discorded gains through Rotten Corpse training. |

Re: Wooohooo
rotten corpses in doom worked best for me letting pup heal thru the poison then bring em back to full rinse and repeat

Re: Wooohooo
For Cu training, I generally work them into the 70's on their skills just going to despise and working ettins, trolls and ogres. Also manage to get a fair number of 10th anniverseray arties this way as a bonus.
After that, shadow ele's all the way. I generally will stone music and disco onto my tamer so I can disco the ele or the pup if necessary to align their skills for better gains. I will take them all the way to 4X GM with 90 heal this way. After that, I skip the Weald satyr thing, and the rotting corpses. I've found much faster gains penning them in my house, discoing them, then repeatedly casting poison on them over and over. I can generally GM healing doing this in 3-7 hours per pup, which is WAY faster than corpses, and about the same time it takes in the Weald. The advantage is I don't have to dodge changelings and other crap that some rude players like to drag up and leave. |

Re: Wooohooo
Thanks for the tip. Never thought of poisoning the pup myself. I generally prefer to gain through normal play, though...which means I'm probably going to doom...or maybe ilshenar...
Incidentally, why does EVERYONE seem to get 10th arties so much faster than me? I swear, my toons are all stuck at the low end of the RNG. Maybe those of us with 123 months under our belt get penalized? Usually, I go kill 15-20 shadow dragons then hit the fel champ spawn for 10-15 mins. So far (once) that worked well. |

Re: Wooohooo
For the 10th arties, speed matters. It isn't the fame of the monster, it's how many you kill. That is why I do the best in Despise, just kill, kill, kill. I don't even stop to loot. That works best for getting arties and skill gains on the pets. Also, Fel is good for a 30% increase in your chance, so Despise Fel would probably be a very good bet. FWIW, and sorry to hijack the thread.
