UO Password/Acct name Requests

Is anyone getting any UO Password/Acct name Requests that they didn't request?

That means someone is trying to hack thee!! (I think) Hehehe my Dad changed our password after we got a couple of those. I don't know how they'd get into the email but he's... weird sometimes

Had that about 3 times in 7years of UO. Thought to myself: "if that hacker dude had to request the password, he didn't figure it out." Changed it nevertheless ;)

Yes but I gave the account away so was expecting it.Not on any of my others though.

Change your password and make sure its a mixture of letters and numbers

That happened right before I got hacked. I'd suggest changing your passwords for UO and possibly your email (depending on your level of paranoia). In my case, it was my email that was hacked, and the hacker broke into my email and retrieved those username/password reminders (then logged right into my UO accounts like a fresh spring day....)

Kitiara thats awful I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. Did you end up getting your things back or did you have to cancel that account? Did EA help you in getting it straitened out?
That would be a nightmare. I get pay pal stuff on my email asking me to verify my password and user name but the weird thing is lol I don't have a pay pal account. The only pay pal account we have is the one under my husbands name. They most horrible thing is I almost did answer that e-mail if it hadn't been that I remembered that the pay pal account was under my husbands name. They can be very tricky when they are trying to get information from you about accounts its down right scary.

Neither EA nor my local police department was any bit of help. (Long story). I suspended the accounts for about 6 weeks, after which point I discovered that I had suspended them before the hackers were able to move some of my stuff off of my account. So, they got 30 mil gold or so and all of my armor, but I was able to save my vet rewards and heritage items.

Now, all of my accounts point to nonexistent fake email addresses. Since EA gives no way to change your username, once a hacker knows what your username is, you're forever a potential target.
