Illegal Macro?

I have been hearing a rumor going around that there is some sort of illegal macro that allows people to unlock secure containers in UO houses. Supposedly we have to ether make the houses non public or make the front door accessible only to friend of the house for the time being, until they fix the illegal macro. Could some one please let me know if this is True?

Macro it cant be...

a bug it can be... even though i dont belive there are any of that anymore.. they have already fixed a numerous bugs of that.

More beliveable that one person got robbed by someone friended/co-owned at this point

Thanks Gnomy for letting me know I feel much better now. I like to leave my house open to the public because its close to a mountain and people like to use the forge and anvil in my house so I would hate to have to lock the front doors. Glad to know it has been fixed

Yeah, Gnomy is probably right. I haven't heard of any house security bugs in a LONG time (other than the Guild security option not working properly - did they ever fix that?)

last time I heard about a bug like that was ...err... before Blackthorns Revenge - so maybe sometime in 2001. Afaik it's fixed.

Set your secures (containers) to OWNER only ... that helps with the feeling of added security ... then you can have a couple containers set to friends only (which of course the owner can still use but so can your friends) ...

I haven't heard of anyones containers being ransacked for a couple years. I think that issue was around the time they introduced the Evil deco stuff like bed of nails ... LOL

I had the misfortune of not clearing out my friends list when my mate quit. The guy who bought his acct had his runebooks and, well, the rest is history. I found the guy in my house, but by the time I flagged a GM it was too late. The GM simply said " He IS on your friend list"

Lesson learned
