Some weirdo asked me today at what level can you wear normal leather without failing... I couldnt find anything about the minimum skill required to wear certain items..

SO my questions are what min skill is required for:
Full Plate
Full studded
Full leather
Also is there a way to work out a way if say you wore full studded and a plate helm the min skill required?

I don't think at any skill level you can wear full anything over leather. I'm actually thinking it's impossible to wear more than 1 piece of anything over leather at any skill level.

Normal leather I believe is 80 though.

I remember after 80 I had to put on a studded (or plate) piece to gain, but I'd pop out of stealth even at 114.9 wearing just one piece.

Im not very good with this sort of thing *grins* but hope this helps.I used this when training my char with stealth.Its nearly al lleather though.

am wondering if i can stop stealth at 90 and not fail in studded.. really sucks that there isnt a way to work it out

You could always try it out in Test Center before going through the rigors of training to 90 and finding out then.

So you can re-think your suit or skill allocation in case it's not possible.

PBD some Shadow Dancer leggings and call it a day. I'm probably going to retire my stealth/thief character with the name I truly love and stone all his skills to a char that has a PBD...

I will be sad on that day, but only worth 300 gold to other players =D

I have stealth at 80 and use Shadow Dancer Leggings with Jackels Collar and I dont have any troubles stealthing or staying in stealth mode.

I've been using very mixed up suits on my stealther with no fail, pieces including plate gloves and tunic, studded arms, hide arms/legs, etc...

... but what I think the gimmick is, is that mage armor behaves like leather no matter what material it actually is. That, and/or lower requirements (which my plate chest had) clearly affect stealth.

Sadly, there's no actual formula to figure these things out.

I've always been a full leather gear wearer. I would never waste the extra points for anything over 80 stealth. Points are needed for other areas when creating thief templates for sure...la

But Rico - don't you fail stealth checks at 80 skill when shadowjumping?

Shadowjump is my #1 used thief ability (well, okay - ninja). I'd hate to fail.
