UOKR question.

I have downloaded UOKR. Just figured I'd check it out.
Well, it took about 4 hours to download.
I try to open the setup file and it locks my computer up.
That actually happens with nearly every folder in the file.
Any suggestions?

Do you think it is the file or do you have an older PC? where did you download from?

I might add that when I dbl click a folder I get the never ending hourglass of death. Then I get the (Not Responding) message up top.

Extract the zip first, then run the setup.

Isnt the sony vaio a laptop? If it is maybe the graphics chip isnt up to par.

Yes, extract the files first...

Win XP just right click zipfolder>extract>tell it where you want it, to go... Run setup... I have Ver 2.45.3.10-enu...

Not sure about Vista, and I don't think it will run on Win98/ME...

You need to update all of the OS ms up-dates( just their critical up-dates, no hardware), plus your video driver, to what ever is most current...

Hope you get it going, and are happy with it...

Well, I got the files extracted and used a download manager to repair it. Now my hard drive is making a clicking sound and I get the blue screen saying beginning physical dump of memory. I think my hard drive is busted. What do you guys think?

Well it was said once, but i'll repeat it..

EXTRACT the files from the zip you downloaded into another folder (create one in the same place you downloaded the zip file)

I was having the same problem until it dawned on me to extract the files. just be warned KR changed the graphics, but client the still needs alot of work done. i still run a 2d client for naming pets, using certain macros the old client allowed you to create and home design. KR kinda sucks for game play.. still alot of bugs and features missing!!
