Yes, extract the files first...

Win XP just right click zipfolder>extract>tell it where you want it, to go... Run setup... I have Ver 2.45.3.10-enu...

Not sure about Vista, and I don't think it will run on Win98/ME...

You need to update all of the OS ms up-dates( just their critical up-dates, no hardware), plus your video driver, to what ever is most current...
