The "German Community Team"

Whatever happened to the UO German Community Team?

On the Samurai Empire site, one of the news articles said

Quote:
10.28.04 - Introducing the New German Community Team
Please join me in officially welcoming the new German Community team consisting of Leslie “Lady-Ariana” Reising, Andre “Alhazro” Perrot, Sascha “Helldawg” Schmidt, and being led by Achim “Garven” Franz to the wonderful world of Ultima Online. Achim and team will be working closely with the German and European players ad we continue to nurture and grow the world wide UO community.

Achim joins the UO World Wide Community team with over 8 years of support and community experience in the ISP industry. He enjoys Football (NFL Style) and a wide range on MMO’s including EQ, SWG and WoW but the variety and versatility of Ultima Online keep Britannia at the top of him virtual world list!

The EARS Community Team is very excited to have this team’s enthusiasm and excitement about UO joining forces with ours to help deliver a better world wide community experience as we move into the dawn of a new empire.

Welcome aboard!
I can only assume they were disbanded like the EM team?

Re: The "German Community Team"

There's something in the back of my mind about a European UO website as well - but that, I think, was further back in the past...

Re: The "German Community Team"

Being from Germany I remember having been quite excited when I read this news back then. But unfortunately that also was the last time I heard about those guys...

Re: The "German Community Team"

There used to be a huge base of German players. I doubt that is the case anymore. Japan/Korea are the only countries I know of with dedicated UO staff.

concerning the overall base of German players I can't tell, but my guildmates [HHW and UA] are mostly German and very addicted to UO
