Welcome back both! There are some KR oriented posts in the Common FAQ Forum (First link in my signature). There are also lists of all published changes (in chronological order) so you can get a feel for other server based changes.

Basically though, KR only changed the way you see the game (like th Third Dawn client) and interract. No other content was added with it.
