Not sure how you're working provo, but I found putting two cu's with fairly decent barding levels (as fresh tames) into two pens in my house worked reasonably fast to work to legendary. You want them around 98 or 99 if possible, and provo the higher difficulty cu on to the lower one. It took a few days of fairly intense sessions, but I made a UOAssist macro and then just baby sat them a few hours each day.
