Raising Warrior

ok so ive been playing UO for 1 month but on a free shard, so now that im on a paying shard, i dunno where i should go train to become stronger warrior...

1. i started in new haven, and went to kill zombies and skeletons till 50 in all skills chosen, and now im in britains cimetary, but the monsters are no more strong enouf, and i need to know where to train now, and after that also.

2. since im a warrior ive chosen swordsmanship, parry, healing, tactics, anatomy and focus, but i would like to know, is there another skill i should train?

3. what is the skill lvl limitation ( maximum of points in all, i think its 800 but im not sure ( thats what i read, if i remember well, in UOs strategie guide, but an old one))

anyways ty ty answer all my questions, and to reply to only 1, please use the number correspondng please.

TYVM

Re: Raising Warrior

1. If you can get there (or can get someone to get you there), go to Despise, it has all difficulties of monsters to train you up. I'd say try Ettins if you can.

2. You could add any of these: Magic Resist, Chivalry, Bushido, Ninjitsu.

3. 700 Max (total) 100 per skill unless you use a Power Scroll.

Welcome to the Forums, feel free to ask any questions (except where babies come from, that one is near impossible to find out). There is also a Frequently Asked Question forum around here somewhere, I'm sure Baldguy will point you in the right direction sooner or later.

Re: Raising Warrior

Chiv would be a better choice (other spells will benefit more than Magery at low levels), and you can get there from Britain, just travel N (by game compass) all the way in the corner of the mountains, go through the pass, and follow the mountainside on the north which leads to another path, then head west a little bit once you get to the little opening and you'll see the cave/dungeon entrance.

Re: Raising Warrior

*points* Lol DiP.

In my signature are several useful links. Check out the common FAQ forum link most of all.

As to training and templates, I always suggest around 72 chivalry and at least 60 bushido.
Bushido has the most potential at higher levels, but 50 will give you the benefit of free mana, stamina, and health when you use the honor virtue on a monster. At 60 you can use lighting strike, which will help you hit more (more information in the Warrior forum).

Be sure to check out DiP's (sheepless and sockless) Parry Guide. Great info in there.

If you can, try to find a vendor that sells dungeon and town rune pre-marked books. I checked luna for you, but there are none for sale there atm.

Visual directions to Despise:

Re: Raising Warrior

Welcome

if your playing a human character you get 5 in all skills that doesnt show in you skill menu thing, jack of all trades. this means you can use recall scrolls to recall even with 0 real magery. i use this for my warriors that do not have chiv for sacred journey. Though i find i do sometimes fizzle when using the scrolls directly on a rune, but never fizzle using a runebook.. Also good if you run out of tither (gold donation thing at shrines used for chiv, not sure if i spelt it right ) you can still get home using your trusty runebook

Re: Raising Warrior

Jack of all Trades = 20 in all skills.

Also, if human, wear only medable armor.

You could also learn SpellWeaving (without investing actual skill points) and be able to use some abilities.

Re: Raising Warrior

This is not meant as a pimping post ... but, I sell marked runebooks - on Europa Shard - Shop Name: Magus' Discounts (Vendor: MiniMagus). It's on Babylonian Jewels Shop - South-Eastern side of Luna City, 3rd from the bottom (opposite Luna Mart and just south of TGF shops). Tram runebooks @ 20k and Fel runebooks at 25-30k. Not too expensive even for the newer players
