I was recently having a discussion with several players in alliance with my guild and we were discussing the spawn in fel.they told me that they dont go there anymore because the reds were using a hack program that would cause their insured equipment to drop. I Was skeptical at first that maybe they forgot to insure but, they were trustworthy players and what are the odds of a party of 4 all forgeting to insure the one time they go somewhere really dangerous. I Have no problem with reds personally, nothin at all wrong with pvp as long as it stays fair for both sides. If anyone has any insight or has experienced i would appreciate the input. It was reported to me on the atlantic shard.

I've spawned, I've been a red.. I've fought warring red.. I've never seen a hack.. hell I've even lost a orny because I forgot to insure it.

I wouldn't put it passed them. Ummmmm.....Duping, speed hacking, account scammers, etc.. It's not far fetched to think they'd figure a way to jinx your insurance.

Don't know what happend with it, but I had a crossbow that dropped even though I know it was insured 3 different times (got corpse back first time, second time it was given back, 3rd time I just gave it to the person that killed me).

It could have been anything, but it just wouldn't stay with me. The guy that got it from me the second time even said it was "Insured" when he got it off my corpse. Could have been 'cause it had too many one word properties, it was crafted with exceptional, balanced, and insured.

This bug did exist, but it was fixed about a year and a half ago. I hope it isn't back again.

same here thats all i need or everyone needs is stuff droping off your corpse if thats the case i will start running with all those cursed arties

There is a bug that causes insured/blessed items to drop to corpses.
The current form of the bug is not something that other people can cause happen to you at will (at least not reliably).
You're almost definitely at just as much risk getting hit from the bug fighting against NPCs on an empty sub-server.

There is a way for this to happen, but you have to be using an illegal third party program in the first place, and done a couple of other "not so birght" things. Which makes it extremely conditional, and not a rampant problem.

SO it serves them right if that is the source.

Ok heres what ive found...my first question to them war how they KNEW it was a hack. Reason was, was one of them knew of a 3rd party hack that would do exactly what happened to them. Idk if theyve used it or not though but i am working on getting the website from them to send to uos hack detection program. If that works then offending players will be detected when they try to log in according to what i read about the detect program.. Also. I Have experienced a bug that causes insured items to drop but with the last patch it stopped happening. Hopefully this can be figured out before many blues and reds lose equipment that took years to get to a hack.
