I recently reactivated my account after a year, and once again I am completely overwhelmed. I had a character that I thought had a good concept, but I'm not so sure. My character's skills in the game are relatively high, but when I tried "dueling" some friends, I seem to get my *beep* handed to me. Here's my build and current skill:

Swords 87ish
Tactics 80ish
Parry 84ish
Bushido 94ish
Anatomy 100
Focus 100
Ninjutsu 94ish

And yes, I have both ninjutsu and bushido, because I went back and forth with what I wanted. I thought ninjutsu would be a nice skill to have just for animal form and deathstrike, but I liked the whole parry with a 2hander thing too.

I was thinking of dropping Ninjutsu for resist spells.

Sooo, since I'm getting whooped all the time, can anyone point me to the direction of a better template? I'm looking for a melee based swordsman/fencer for PvP.

Don't PvP until your weaponskill + Parry >= 110.

Then work from there.

I always run with Resist Spells, but you could use items to supplant that skill if you want.

I agree with DiP, you're Swords and Parry is low enough that you are simply fodder for the the other players. At you're levels, you neither hit enough, or parry enough to do damage. I'd get those up to their max level asap, and the minimum I would take them is 115. Also, get your tactics maxed as quickly as possible, as that affects damage you dole out as well.

Ok, so I have to buy scrolls to up the max right? How much do those go for in LS?

I might have spares, but 110s are cheap anywho.

it is funny yes 110's r cheap but there is a market for them

Try for 115's if you can afford them. Most pvp'ers you're going against will have at LEAST that. The 115's are really the best value compared to 110's or 120's. With that said, if you can afford it, go 120, as in pvp, EVERY little bit helps.

Agreed. 115 scrolls are the best value.
