Welcome to the 13th Legion's OOC (Out Of Charcter), forums!

The 13th is a guild based on role-playing characters that some might call evil, I myself prefer the term misunderstood when I'm in-character.

What I am looking for is people who are interested in role-playing, experience does not matter!

There are only a few things I require of someone who is interested in joining.

1) Maturity

You will be attempting to role-play a bad guy, and it isn't always easy. You have to find the happy medium between appearing evil, and not going overboard!

2) In Game= In Charcter

Try and stay IC as much as possible, if you need to communicate out of char, please do so via icq or some similar fashion.

3) One Character at a time

One of my biggest failings when I started rp'ing was I didn't take interaction with others on a one on one basis, If I saw a char and I knew that char's alts, and guilds, and other allegiances I worried to much about it. It Doesn't matter who your alts are, or who my alts are. If someone wants to join the 13th I'll just be basing it on the character presented to me at that time. I do not care about your alts and I shall not ask about them, If I do Call Me on it!!!

On the flip side, I will not discuss my Alts. I really like to compartmentalize my other chars, and their dealings as much as possible.

4) Keep it Realistic

Try and keep things realistic, don't respond to a situation as you the player behind the character, respond as your character would, and only use knowledge that That character would know, not knowldge that you the player knows. Make up a history for your character, a personality, customize your speech, dress, etc....immerse yourself in your character.

5) Alliances

I bring up alliances as it "may" be a big part of being a member of the 13th, and you will have to understand that just because someone is orange to you, it does not mean "attack", far from it, warring someone may just be a way of enhancing the overall role-play experience. The 13th is part of the Silvervale Alliance, this has been around for a few weeks now and its goal is to "hopefully" add to the Chesapeake Role Play Community.

Excellent post Lord Havok!! I like your description of how RPing can be achieved and the focus is on the single characters, not the player.

I hope many will join you with this kind of attitude. I would. (hmm, looks for that Evil character slot again *smiles*, and you'd never now I'm the same player *grins*).
