Im crazy about pumpkins, and I mean CRAZY. And I want a black pumpkin. Heard they were rare so I have spent the ENTIRE day on a deserted patch somewhere in fel moving orange pumpkins out of the field and waiting for the respawn, keeping my fingers crossed for a black one. Nada.

Went to some other patches and on one of them I "met" (i vas invis) someone who was doing the same thing, except it seemed like the person was blowing up pumpkins. How do you do that? There was a countdown over the pumpkins (like explosion potions) and then they caught fire. Does this have anything to do with getting a black pumpkin?

when you put the pumpkins into your pack they will be called *your name* pumpkin, or *your name*'s jack o lantern. the jack o lantern ones explode when you double click em, like explode pots...

no idea about the black ones tho, i cant seem to find any either

Just keep waiting for them to spawn. There is no trick to it.

This is of course, if they are spawning in the first place, just 'cause they were in last year doesn't mean they are now.

If it means anything, I got mine in Old Haven last year.

Ill just have to wait and see then Someone talked about it converting to a black one when picking it up but thats just rumours. I must have picked up 500 today, no black ones.

Anywho, yell out if you get any black ones and how you got it

Snagged 3 of the black ones today with 2 different characters. All changed to black immediately after placing in my main backpack. Didn't see any black ones on the ground today.

I got four black yesterday, what i do is pick a field in yew, outside brit or new haven and first clear all discarded pumpkins by making a recall rune to brit waste bin and another to the field i am camping (it makes the pumpkins spawn a lot quicker) then just keep going between the two discarding the actual pumpkins. I also explode the normal jack'o'lanterns on the field i am farming as my theory is that the explosion might increase the chances of getting a black Got 4 in about an hour and a half yesterday

Also the black ones just turn black after you pick them up, they look normal when on ground.

I seen your post so i went out to check and you have to pick the pumpkin up and it go into your backpack before it turns black, as i had it grabed with my mouse it was still orange... i dont know what would have happened if i would have just picked it and set it back on the ground.
