Re: WoW: A History Lesson
Lord Rohanna was suddenly aware of the silence from his archers, and his worst fears were confirmed when he he saw his runner's horse galloping by, its rider's headless body still gasping the reins. He saw the worgs rampaging across the archer's positions.
The monstorous worgs were drunk on blood, and frenzied to the point of intoxication by the slaughter. The beasts ran down hill towards the druids and their circle.
Rohanna dragged on the reins of his warhorse and shouted "Elves with me!" Rohanna and his guards desperately charged to intercept the Worgs before they hit the Druids. He knew he shouldn't be exposing himself to these kinds of risks, but old instincts are hard to break. The Worgs saw them coming and altered their course to meet them head on.
Lord Rohanna and his guard smashed into the Worgs. Their heavey lances and swords skewering the worgs. Many of the worgs were trampled to death by the elven war horses. the last remaining worgs were hacked to death by the guards. Rohanna returned his attention back towards the battlefield. The Elven line was bending back under the force of the orc's attacks and as he watched, terror slowly crept upon his face.
Maddux stretched his arms and yawned "Ahh... perhaps I shall finish this story later.." The Orphans all looked at Maddux in shock and silence. Miri stood up and put her hands on her hips "No Maddux! You will do no such thing!" Maddux was shocked but quickly recovered his composure before anyone noticed. Maddux's thoughts drifted to Eowyna, the only other woman who could ever tell him no.
Maddux grinned "Ok, Here some more silver, lets get some punch and some cookies." and handed Orphanage Matron Nicole Bartlet another pouch full of silver. The children yelled "Cookies!!" Happiness was in the air and Maddux was loving all the attention, but his attention drifted outside towards Cephias Cain lurking in the shadows.
