jo, im currently trying to make an archery pvp char but im unsure of that skills to take, obviously archery and tactics but.... i have good jewelery with 45% ep, 12 chiv and 10 tactics. so PLEASE post some suggestions

I would suggest going with

120 arch
120 tact
120 anatomy
120 resisting spells
90 healing
65 chiv
90 bush

The 120 tact and anatomy make your damage pretty vicious, which is important as an archer. You don't have much mr due to the loss of focus or med, so go human and shoot for mr on your armor. Alot of archers go ninja for the animal form, but this can be replaced with pet summoning balls. 90 Bushido gives you the benefit of having a hyru and, using uoassist you can dismount, activate the ability on your weapon, shoot, and if you miss you just remount, if you succeed then you sick your pet on them and use moving shot with heavy x or a magical shortbow depending on what you are fighting. Resisting spells is a sweet choice because, even the greatest archer with incredible speed at using a trapped box can easily become prey to one mage spamming paralyze while another dumps..... and few mages can face an archer with a super sexy magical shortbow and live to tell the tale!! ( non speed hacking mages that is ). ( Oh, Resisting spells also sexy because speed hacks like to cast paralyze, then catch up to you, cast it on you, precast another paralyze, catch up to you cast it on you etc, while another one is dumping flamestrikes while you are running in one direction !)

You will want a magical shortbow, Crossbow, and heavy x bow. High Ssi on all of them. hit fireball and hld are nice on a magical shortbow since there is a delay in between the arrow and the fireball, plus the lightning special makes it even deadlier at disrupting mages.


Sadly! This isn't even the template that i use on my archer, but as i thought about the ultimate archer template this came to mind. ( in fact im changing my character to this right now)

Composite bows are nice as well.

I would go with Ninjitsu instead of Bushido. But that is just me. A guild mate of mine uses stealthing and ninjitsu. He stealth around the houses at the yew gate and dismounds them and then we finish them off. He uses a heavy cross bow. 1 shot with dismount takes almost half of them hit points. When he is gets in trouble, he goes into wolf form and runs. But that is his role at the yew gate. He dismounts.

I use stealth and SS on my archer

If stealth and wait around till you can knock someone off is your thing, go with that. The worst archers in the game for me (on my mage) are bushido archers with SSI bows.

The easiest character for me to kill in the game is a stealth archer. Most of them dont have resists. If they do, strangle/bleed/poison are all deal breakers for them.

I was wondering how this would work with Hiding instead of Bushido? What abilities do you use with Bushido?

Planning to lower Hiding to make Anat, Tact and Resist to 120 as I get scrolls.

Hey Macdaddy what type of bows do you use?

hi guys well most times you make sure you use bows or for them that can get away like them ninjas they hit run and or dismounted they just wolf and run. I use mostly bows and have 250 bolts to use my crossbow. I use 4 diff bows mostly 1 goldy comp bow, 1 godly short bow, 1 godly bow, and 1 godly crossbow.

and turk on your question bush helps you with lightning strikes doing at times 22 to 35+ damn and only costs 2 or so mana per strike. Trhat all depends on your lmc though I am 45 hit 20 or so def wtih 11 mana reg and 40 lmc wtih 70 70 70 70 75 suit but funny dont even my good jewlery and only like 2 artis heh

and hiding lets you get out of issues.

Mac, on the composite bow is that for running shot? I use a heavy that i have that is beyond godly, it seems to swing very slow though. My composite has hit fireball 46 ssi 35 damage and hit lower d 40. I just dont like the damage, seems really weak compared to my concencrated heavy xbow. What do you think? My dex is only 130 as well. Can't seem to get above that currently.
