Re: WoW: A History Lesson

The mourning mist vanished as the sun climbed higher nad higher. A line of armored orcs stretched from one side of the valley to the other. Their dark furs, horned helms and dark armor made them standout this mourning. they marched in loose formation with no discipline to their march. Orc's riding black furred worgs streamed forward of the colums of orc infantry. Packs of snapping worgs, with long fangs and thick fur matted with dried blood ran forward with the Worg riders, their chilling howls causing the hair on one's neck to rise.

Lord Rohanna looked toward's his Adjudant "Now!" The Adjudant waved the banner and the elven archers let loose volley after volley of arrows. Lord Rohanna watched as the arrows struck the densly packed orcs. Blood sprayed in a red mist from the strucken orcs as they collapsed to the ground. In seconds closed ranks and continued onwards.

Lord Rohanna, grinned with pride in his elves as they fired their bows with great accuracy. Worgs, and orcs screamed in agony as the Elven archers killed them in the hundreds. Rohanna knew that arrows would not win this battle alone. Slamming his fist into his palm "Those worg riders are getting to close!"

The Worg Riders rode in close before expertly wheeling their mounts away. Each time they would shoot arrows from their powerful recurved bows and each time dozens of elves would fall to the grounds, pierced by by black glowing arrows.

The Worg Riders charged the Elven line againg. Tempting them to break ranks and charge them, but Lord Rohanna and Lord Elrond gave explicit instructions not to engage the Worg Riders in hand to hand. As the the Worg Riders retreated, the packs of worgs hit the elven lines. the worgs attacked in a flurry of claws and fangs. The lines shuddered, but elven halbadiers and swords men broke the worgs momentium and quickly slaughtered them. Elven Druids and Priests began to dragg the wounded back to the casualty collection points as the remaining elves began to close their lines.

The fearsome black line of orcs kept coming, hordes of them. Lord Rohanna felt a shiver of fear as he realized the sheer number of them. They came in a never ending wave of black iron and horns. Monstorous orcs with brazen axes and swords. Hordes of heavily armored Worg Riders rode alonside of the orc infantry. Their mounts growling in anticipation of blood shed. Their riders carrying huge bladed war axes.

Hordes of armored chariots rumbled through the advancing orc line. Cruel, hooked blades protruding from the chariots wheels, and Lord Rohanna shuddered at the thought of them crashing through his lines. Lord Rohanna yelled "Fire on those damm chariots, aim low! I want those foul beasts pulling them shot down!" The Adjudant pointed and waved the flag at the chariots.

A huge roar fulled the valley as the first wave of the army of Kull Trakas charged into the elven lines. The hordes came in ragged groups, hughe swords and axes swinging wildly. The elven halbadiers lowered their weapons into the charging orcs as the first of the enemy was impaled on the mighty points of the halbards. Screams and shouts drifted from the battle as orcs were run through or hacked to death with elvish steel.

The Elven line bent back under the massive weight of the charge, frezied orcs hacking left and right with their enormous weapons. the fighting was brutal, and brief, and Lord Rohanna watched the fight. He knew this was only the tip of the ice berg. The worst has yet to come.

To be continued.
