This just reinforces that we need to get TASERS out of the hands of the police. These TASERS are just as bad as lethal force.

or how about people just dont commit crimes, and act like animals, and then the taser problem wouldnt be an issue. problem solved!

Well, that is all well and good but TASERS are supposed to be non lethal, but unfortunately that is not always the case. Pepper spray is just as effective and does not kill.

if someone is allerigic to something in pepparspray as well.. they will die

Sad for this person... and his family, but i wouldnt say TASERS is the problem. There are sad stories where just brute force has been used and they have died. mostly because the criminal didnt do as the police said. *Shrugs*

I'd rather see more use of Tasers

87% of the time these people are cranked up on some sort of drug and the use of oc sray and gas dont even effect them. I know I work with both forms of non lethal everyday. Thats a one in how many thousand chance of a perosn dieing from either. I have been hit with the taser myself and I lived.

Perhaps we should just get rid of all of them and feed the crimnals candy and that will make them stop, pfffft

Well, I am going to do my part to have them banned from LEO.

Not to mention pepper spray in a crowded forum would have inadvertantly gotten on other parties present whereby innocent bystanders would have been subjected to its effects due to one overzealous person. He had his chance to speak and should have backed down when asked to....hit him again just to make the point!

I have had the pleasure of being both tasered and oc sprayed. I would rather be tasered anyday of the week because after the burst the pain is over, the spray is a gift that just keeps giving, hours and hours later lol

Force is force, I agree it should be used.

When asked by Authorities to COMPLY; then damnit you'd better comply or face the consequences, period!

Authorities say stop, or move on, then do it. Get billigerant and resist, then take your medicine, and don't whine about it.

His time was up, he was asked to move on. End of story.

People speed, people wreck, people die. They broke the law, knowingly and paid the ultimate price. And a good part of the time, they take INNOCENT people with them.

It's not that hard to obey. I think the police tried nicely, then semi-forcefully, that failed, they did the next thing to control the situation.
