Combine hiding and stealth?

So I was thinking, why combine hiding and stealth into only the stealth skill, since stealth is just moving hiding. This would free up "useless" points on various templates. What drawbacks would this have? Would it make templates too powerful by freeing up those points? I am curious on others ideas.

why stop there, why not make music and dicord or provo or peace all one skill....or even better yet, make tatics and arch or mace or swords or fencing all one skill

. i think making hiding and stealth one skill would be a very bad idea!

Hugely overpowered if you combined those. Stealth archers are already a plague.
