I use colored metal exclusively now to avoid having to cast consecrate wep. It is a major mana drain. You can make ALOT of skill room for a warrior just by crafting and using enahncement tailored weps.

My personal favorites:
Agapite - for swoop type weapons (mid DI, high SSI, mid on hit effect, high mana leech). Right now, I use an exceptional HEAVY ornate axe, 15% SSI, 45% DI, 35% HML. I crafted it with a bronze hammer. It is 90% energy (swoops lowest) and 10% fire (second lowest). I can do 165+ using lightning strike. When I get the penetrate armor effect, it goes to 226.

Bronze- for ice fiend type weapons.

For my PvM'er, I tend to focus on ones I can fight using a talisman rather than a slayer. Easier to get a good weapon with good mods than it is to get a good weapon with a slayer and mods. With a talisman, and EOO, and a targetted enhanced weapon, you really lower your overall mana consumption.
