Question Question About Proffesion.

Hey, I just started playing Ultima and woundered what Proffesion should I get and some skill's I should raise..

I was thinking about getting Begging, Hidding, Stelth, Snooping and maybe stealing (stealing seems worth it though)
If you have any tips that can help me, it would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Question About Proffesion.

Welcome to the forums Noob! Not sure if You are thinking professions are similiar to WoW or not but they arent. Each of your characters can have a possible total of 700 skill points starting off, so no matter where you put them depends on what style of play or type of character. You might want to check the FAQ section for a lot of helpful advice. Several of the skills you have selected can be used in viable templates, however Begging is pretty much a worthless skill atm unless you are in RP mode. Anyways check out the FAQ for more helpful info

Forgot to say.. Im trying to make an account with pure "Non-Combat" Skill's or at least with only pure def/Magic or Someother Long ranged attacking.

Re: Question About Proffesion.

Well from what you already talked about using, maybe go with a thief/thunter template. Hiding, Stealth, Stealing all good maybe throw lockpicking in and some form of healing/traveling either magery or chivalry.

Stat cap is 225 until your account is 6 months old. Then it is 230 . If you will take a minute and follow THIS LINK.

Re: Question About Proffesion.

Ive been playing(again) and my account is less than three months old but my stat cap is 250.

You just need to buy the proper deeds to raise to stat cap

Also try this http://www.uoforums.com/uo-skills-f681/ it will give you a good idea of your career choice

Re: Question About Proffesion.

Aye, in a game like this, there is no profession except what you choose. You will find that some skills are extradorinarily helpful, others useless.

Stealing has limited benefits, but can be lucrative. It takes some time to learn the stealing ropes. Chad Sexington, our informal thief lord ( we can't get anyone to vote for such a rogue), will most likely give you any advice you need. Post any thief related questions in the Thief Forums for his attention.
