You dont need to have a loaded spell to kill someone in pvp . DP is very awesome and his build should work well. We are all going to have to get used to pressing our specials faster with timing, to me its just another spell with no cast time or cooldown.

115 mage
120 eval
120 resist spells
120 swords
100 inscription
85 poison
60 chiv/med? depending on how mr goes

and depending if infectious will check the poison skill instead of tactics, nox mage would be the way to go. It would allow for a free skill like inscription, parry, chiv, med.

I would go nox/parry mage over inscribe. Inscribe is nice and powerful but there is nothing like the sound of a ping as a warrior bounces off your shield. Downside is you lose mana for dex...or life.

id probably go back to my old UOR template... scribe/poison

parry.. one needs a such silly stat setup..

80 dex to be really useful or its a waste..

Posion lets you get away with using infection strike... So a tank/nox mage would work kindof.. I don't know about how well it'd work though

THATS A PRETTY NOTICABLE DOWSIDE ALSO A EXPENSIVE TEMPLATE

This is the template i decided to run...
115 mage
120 eval
120 resist
120 swords
100 sribe
85 poison
60 med

works really good never run out of mana with 10 mr suit... 40 lmc... so its nice... i use a assassin spike with these mods hit lightning 50% fc-1 30 ssi -50 requirements... swings 1 per sec at 40 dex...

Good call on that template. With specials harder for mages to do now, one good special is enough (poison). You can use the dp fields and close in dp with magery and use it on your weapon as well.

I was having problems the other night with a warrior constantly bleeding me. Before this wasn't a problem because i would cast through it while trying to bleed/disarm/concussion them back but i have no specials now so they basically hit me every time using staff of magi. I will probably put wrestle on a template now because of it.
