we were poor growing up...guess I was spoiled in some ways though...I was the youngest of 4 children so guess that would be a yes

I was an only child, with doting grandparents. Spoiled was not even the word! lol

Very good point. I didn't have a clue about reality until I had my own kid and wasn't the "baby" of the family anymore, and was married and out on my own. The world reached back and b**** slapped me in the face!

I was an only child to a single mother. I guess I might have been spoiled when I was really young but when I got older I had to do things for my self.

The oldest of three in a single parent household I was the guinea pig. We weren't spoiled but we had a lot of freedoms. If it was free we could do it. We didn't get things out of season. If we wanted something, talked about it often enough, you could pretty well bet you were going to get it for your birthday or Christmas. Thank goodness I have a summer birthday (my sister's is in Feb. my brother's is in Apr.).
