1) gonna move this thread to the thunter area.

2) Checked out stratics firehorn calculator. Some basic facts from it (that of course are not mentioned in the write up):

A fire horn is a weapon that can only be used by bards.

It works as a kind of area effect fire damage spell.

The more points you have in the 4 bard skills, the more damage you will inflict.

Using a fire horn requires at least 52.6 Musicianship skill.

Using a fire horn will use up 4 Sulfurous Ash.

You have to be within 3 tiles of your target to use a fire horn.

When you use a fire horn there is a small delay until you can use it again.

Each time you use a fire horn there is a 1% chance that it will break.

When used against another player the fire horn will do less damage than against a monster.
- Success is weighted by the music skill. Need at least 103 music skill for 100% chance of success.

-Damage is weighted equally (now) between provocation and discord. Peace has the least effect on damage. Music has some minimal effect on damage.

- Max damage is at 480 TOTAL barding skills (PvP Damage: 54 - 66
PvM Damage: 81 - 100 )

-Firehorn now only costs 4 sulfurous ash. Didn't it used to be like 15? I likes 4 better.(did some research, took em only 2 years 4 months to change it, bless Leurocian and Oaks.)

-The norm on most templates is 360 total skill points (elf) or 380(human). A human will do slightly more max and min damage than an elf due to JOAT.

Trying to recap what I think I read while trying to figure this out while recapping in my mind See, I really am nuts.

Magery 115
LP/Cart/Med 100 *can be swapped out as needed*
Music 115
Peace 115
Discord 120
Provoke 120
-------> 685 skill points

or...
Magery 110 *can use ev scrolls to make them easier to cast*
LP/Cart/Med 100 *can be swapped out as needed*
Music 110
Peace 110
Disco 120
Provo 120
--------> 670 skill points

Firehorn can be used. Both templates leave some open for resist or whatever I might want to use. Maybe hiding.. depends on skill points I have avail too. I would pick most of the armor based on hp and mana regen and figure the mobs will damage each other?

Does this sound workable or will I fail/die to much on the L6 spawns?

Looks like you have a good grasp. Any tweaking to your suit is subjective of course. One thing I would mention is the templates tactics. They are based around
1) provo for initial spawn
2) summon for spawn after.

Now, since all summons in magery are gonna cost 50 mana, and you have no med, you want to focus MR and LMC on your suit. (rune beetle, boomstick, pendant, glasses with MR 3 or LMC, etc).
With a good conn and reflexes, you should be able to get away with 50ish resists.

The templates skills will suffice for a lvl 6 spawn.
Any extra points, dump into eval int. Eval int SDI bonus effects the damage dealt by Energy Vortex.

Dispite whats been said previously 120 music and 120 peace are crucial for doing level 6 maps more so than discord or provoke IMO. If you aren't doing level 6 maps you could probably get by with 115 in both music and peace or if your just gonna spam evs you might be okay long as you don't fail much but that means you need 120 magery. I use a chiv archer peacer and for him having 120 music and 120 peace means that even when 2 or more ancient wyrms spawn i can still take the chest solo with realitive eaase. I also keep carto on my char at all times. I think removing it all the time is a hassle but to each his own.
