I'm sure this has been addressed many times but I'm gonna ask for help anyways. I am in the process of making a bard/thunter. Well since I've never played either char I have 0 exp in this area. My ultimate template will probably be:

magery 120
med 120
music 120
provo 120
peace 120
lpicking 100/carto 100 (stoned)
rest of points in eval

magery eval music peace med easy to gm+ in 2 days my questions are:

1. I am currently 50 provo whats the easiest way to raise this (tips or tricks) legal of course? I was thinking shadow wisps in the weald til I find a better way.

2. lpiking and carto help???? ( i have gm carp/tink) and a ton of lvl 1-3 tmaps

3. lpiking and carto currently at 0 and char is elf if it matters.

4. money always an issue isnt really unless were talking millions.

5. Oh and last what is best suit as ultimately with alot of practice I would like to be able to solo lvl 6's

First thing I would recommend is rethinking the template. You have 800 skill points there

Could drop med and be good to go.

He is 3 year account (rides an ethie) so should have 720 skill cap.

Need to find / make some better skill guides than "use a calculator, find your difficulty and provo away". Should have two methods, power gamer and through play. I will work on this when I have a chance to work my bard.

Same suit you are wearing on your tamer.
Minimum of 100% LRC, high resists, as much MR and LMC as you can cram. LMC for casting your earthies and EV's.

please do not take offence to this question, but do you really want to burn a 120 magery scroll on a T hunter? I assume this is more for just casting EVs and if that is the case, keep it at GM or 110 and just use Energy Vortex scrolls to cast without fail. As for peace and music at 120, 110 or 115 is probubly good enough that you will only see difference 10% of the time and will save you like 5 Mil in scrolls unless you already had them. Finally, the 120 provoke is a great idea (only reason I would say to have over GM music is to bonus the chance of provoke) Problem here is, you can only provoke when there are two or more creatures, so you might be stuck trying to keep somethign peaced while killing it with Mindblast and summons. Also not sure I agree with 'needing' 120 Meditation. A few mana regen items and you will have more then enough mana if your bardin skills do not fail you. If you don't mind a little training, I would sujest putting Discord in place of Meditation, if not Eval or even spellweaving. (dryad allure the titans and release them to get rid of them right away ;) )

Like Desnsity said 110 magery is good, I have 115 on mine, 120 is just too expensive and over kill for a thunter unless you got the dough. Med is good 110 is what I have, it's nice to have med since I use my bard at doom (switch out lp for med, when I go). I like discord for situations like density said, if only one mob just discord it and your evs or earties will disponse of it so much quicker also while doing a mind blast firehorn combo on it

Ok, I am gonna ask, what purpose does the firehorn serve? I am really considering a bard and I already have the lockpick/carto/magery stoned so I would just need to work it from the bard end. I have seldomly seen firehorn references but they pop tons on the solen dudes.

The firehorn takes your music, peace, discord and provo (provo calculates double the last I knew) and calculates how much damage to all creatures within a couple tiles of the bard will receive. It uses 4 sulphurous ash and a timer. Can't remember if it takes mana or not. Been a while since I used one . Has a small chance of breaking with each use.

Takes no mana and with each use it has a 1% chance of breaking. It does pretty good damage with discorded monster and if you have all 4 bard skills and its an AE (area effect, meaning it targets all monster in a certain radius of tiles).
