Re: UOForums interview with Tony Ray, founder of Punkbuster.com

How can you get it to run on XP? I'm using XP on my computer, and it is a computer speicifically for running UO, I've even tried logging onto two different profiles to be able to run it more than once legally, and it always gives me the same message from UO *(There is already a UO Client running)*.

So please.. how do you do it? lol

Hmm, it should work that way
From what I remember, you create two admin accounts in XP, then switch between the two using "Fast switch" (or whatever it's called)

Windows XP home edition i think, im not all together sure, my husband is a computer tech tho, and this is his computer, so i assume that it would be the latest possible version (We have 3 lanned computers, and i use this one because it is the fastest, we have 5 people in our house and all of them have accounts on UO, some even have 2-3 per person so this information would be extremly appreciated).

Re: UOForums interview with Tony Ray, founder of Punkbuster.com

Well I just tested it and got it working
I'm running XP Pro, Service pack 2
I created a new user account called Test, set it up as an Admin (allready ticked in the setup box), saved it
I then loaded up UO, let it finish loading, didn't login
I then clicked Start, Log off, Switch user
Logged in as the other user and ran uo on that profile and it worked.

Re: UOForums interview with Tony Ray, founder of Punkbuster.com

Oh, and one more small question (completely off subject) do you know how to become a GM in game? ive been playing UO since 2000, and im a admin on a couple of freeshards friends have made, i'd like to be able to help people on the actual " legal " shards too though.

Re: UOForums interview with Tony Ray, founder of Punkbuster.com

I think all GM positions are advertised on EA.com's Job page, not sure of the direct link, but it's under careers
It's normally advertised as "Customer Service Rep" or something similiar.

Although I wouldn't mention that you were a gm on freeshards, i'm pretty sure that'd get your app deleted.
