Saying hello

Just thought that I would say a hello on here since I've been lurking the last couple days.

I've been on my old account thats still active and wow how things have changed. I left about a year maybe after the felucca/trammel split after playing since launch and have found that no other MMO seems to have what I'm looking for. I end up becoming an alt-a-holic because I can't make the character I want and there always seems to be something lacking with any character I play.

I think I might start a new account and play that for a while so I can start fresh. Plus I might be able to coax the person I shared this account with to come back too, but she'll me more reluctant to start over. The account is a 5 house account and the houses are permanent in that they never need to be refreshed so she'd have a lot to come back to. Not to mention the rares we accumulated when we played.

Have to say my first experience back on was humbling to say the least, lol. Jumped on my Gm mage and ran around the woods east of Brit a while and promptly got toasted by a reaper. Ouch.

Still not sure which server I'm going to go to. I used to play on Chesapeake way back when, might just stay on there though I doubt anyone I used to play with would be around anymore.

Yes, a LOT has changed, and even more is changing with the new user interface in Kingdom Reborn, and the upcoming new expansion, Stygian Abyss (both due out this year, if I'm not mistaken).

I think if I were you I'd keep the vet account! You get vet rewards for each year old your account is, and being able to ride an ethereal mount (ie. one that can't die, doesn't need food, and stays with you in your backpack when you die) is a perk that most players are eager to achieve. New accounts can ride the Charger of the Fallen, but they're sometimes hard to find and a bit expensive.

Having a 5-house account is sweet too. I have 5 houses.... but have to pay for 5 accounts to have them.

Welcome back! If you find yourself on Lake Austin, look around for people with UO:F tags. That's our forum guild.

When you decide which shard you are going to play. Let us know. We have peeps on several different ones. They are usually more then willing to help a returning/new player out.

If I started a new account it would be likely that I could talk my friend into coming back and using the old account. Which means I'd be playing on Chessy again probably.

have to admit it feels really weird running around in-game again, it's been soooo long.

Just noticed I posted in the KR forums,:5oops: Think a mod could move this to the appropriate forum?
