When you can easily make 300k in an hour of hunting on some templates, it is considered much more worth while to just buy one then to camp Ogres in Despise and Hope you find the LOL (Large Ogre Lord) when it spawns, and then Hope you get looting rights on the blackened heart. Cost of items directly proportional to the person selling, buying, and time they both have on their hands after all.

I agree as well. I killed a LOL the other night that I had to myself, so I got the blackened heart, but I was working fame on Ogre Lords ('cause they "pay" as well as drags fame wise with a LOT less damage lol), but with what I could have made doing other things it really wasn't worth it to me. I was there for another purpose, no more, no less.

There was an event ran by OSR guild on LS a month or three back that I helped to run where we ran a group of people through the candle of love quest. To prep for this event, I gathered 20+ of them blackened hearts to give to the people who came along for the ride.

Was going to post more, but had to do some work. I gathered the hearts on a bard, which isn't the easiest thing in this case. The LOL (large ogre lord) is not at all effected by bard skills bein provoke, discord or peace (direct or area) and so I killed them solo when I did with natures fury, word of death, holy light, wildfire, and my trusty fire horn. Thank goodness for Mana Regen items and LMC! As for me doing all the work, that was just a few days prep for one event. OSR guild does a LOT more for LS then I could ever do by myself. I am on call by OSR to help out when they need it, but they really have their stuff together! Vepl knows.
