When you move in with someone, does that mean you intend to marry them?

I went with "sorta-kinda."

If you are dating someone and you both opt to move in together to simply have more time together, then yes, it is pretty much a precursor to marriage.

If one party moves in with another for financial reasons or some other "simplicity" factor, then its not neccessarily going to lead to marriage...

I said Other because I can move in with friends and it just be... friends. But If I moved in with my BF it's not because I expect to break up in the next few months or even years. Not exactly getting married but a serious relationship.

Marriage is often the next step, but if you were THAT sure you wanted to marry someone, wouldn't you just get engaged and go on with it? Sometimes, moving in together is the test drive before engagement....

I voted other. Moving in together as a bf/gf/so relationship may lead to marriage. Then again, if living together is working, why screw up a good thing?

Again, humans are social animals. So no.
You can enjoy someone's company, personal & intimate, and not have it lead to the institution that can ruin that.

Marriage ain't all it's cracked up to be, other then a serious tax write off. But it can happen and work and be good, if both partners decide to give it their best effort.

I live with the man of my dreams but I never intend on getting married again. It took me 6.5 years to go from seperated to divorced with the first one after 17 years of marriage. I don't need a piece of paper to tell me I love the one I am with.
