Under my rule, the militia will be kept intact, however more city funds will be spent on it's upkeep. A fleet of ships shall be bought, from which we can begin an amphibious assault on the city of Trinsic. If the land can be found, further money will be spent on building a barracks for the militia, so that they have no need to return to their homes while on duty. This will allowed a shortened reaction time to threats within Vesper, and keep out civilians safer.

The Vesper trading company members will be treated like any other civilians. If they break the law they shall be punished harshly and quickly. They will not be allowed to run rampant around the city and comit crimes right infront of the militia, as has happened in the past.

Once the fleet has been completed, I will ask the militia to take the island of bucaneers den. This island is perfectly placed, as it is reachable through a teleporter from our own city, but is also close enough to be used as a base for naval attacks on Trinsic.

Proposed Domestic policy:
Vesper needs to focus more on creating gold for businesses! Vesper people deserve progress and more gold. I will bring a gold rush to Vesper! All who start up a business will get a grant of 1000 gold!

Vesper also needs spiritual focus. I will bring virtue to Vesper. This will be done by creating a "Church of Vesper" which will focus on helping the homeless, teaching the citizens of the virtues and guide the children into becoming productive and lawful citizens!

Vesper does not need bureaucracy and different land holders! I will abolish it all and replace it under the citys administration. All citizens should easily know who rules them! Say NO to administration!

I will also increase the militias pay and make sure they get the finest armour and weapons! The defenders of Vesper deserve the best and will get the best!

Vesper need more trade! Today it suffers from all the wars created for the few, and that benefit none!

I will create peace in Vesper! I will guarantee it. Vesper should and will join the kingdom. We will as such get more trade and peace, that will benefit all!

The second explanation of the plans and proposals of he who would be Baron: The illustrious Samsca of Olk, First Governor of Vespenland, Mayor of West Vesper, Favoured son of our most valiant Republic, Destroyer of those who consider themselves our foes, Manager of the Vesperian Company for acquisition of Ore, Once Sergeant within the Militia, Once Captain within the Militia, Once Baron and Governor of Cove and so forth and so forth and so forth.

Folk have asked about what I intend for that most important organ of our republic, that is to say our heroic militia. Firstly I would like to repeat that I am fully in support of any plan or proposal for the construction of a barracks to house and shelter our Militia. I believe it should be located much where the previous Barracks was since such is a sensible location next to the armory, the jail and other buildings of vital import. Unfortunately despite being Baron I shall not be capable of the impossible and should the acquisition of a building suitable for such a grand task prove such we shall be forced to consider other propositions. In ancient times we adopted the Champions of Light hall as our unofficial barracks where much of our training was held. This could be adopted again should no more pleasant alternatives appear. However it is my belief as Baron that one of my first duties shall be to pursue two civil structures which the grasping Twothumb has reduced for the pursuit of his own pleasure. The first is a Barracks for many of the reasons already stated and the second is a great hall for the meeting of both Vesperians and foreigners alike. It is after all vital that folk both within and without Vesper feel a certain degree of awe when meeting with the person in whom the powers of the baronial position are so invested. It would be unreasonable should the Baron, when meeting foreign dignitaries be forced to greet them in a squalid and unfurnished office devoid even of chairs.

While the question of wages for the Militia remains a difficult one I tend to oppose the actual increase in relative gold taken from the central bank and support the concept of declining costs facing those who provide service to our nation. That is to say, you won’t get more gold but you will be able to do more with what you have. While it shall remain up to the Militia leadership I have not been made aware of any serious complaints about wages and so the increase in gold in circulation would only lead to inflation and a subsequent decrease in the quality of life for those of the partisan, firebrand or comrade rank. This is to be avoided since as a free republic we should be seeking to ensure that the lowest members of our society benefit unlike the terrible oppression they face in the more backwards loyalist held lands. As it stands I propose that Vesper, largely through the person of the Baron, pays for most of the upkeep of the militia and the bulk of their desires can be acquired through gold earned in that service. Should there be any disputes I advise those who have them to take them up with he who shall be your leader to be determined after the election has been decided.

While the construction of a navy has been an interest of mine for some time it must be determined whether or not the manpower for such a force presently exists. That is to say while Vesper has a great many freelance sailors are many of them willing to take the Baron’s coin and serve their nation? Are there those in the Militia who are willing to take up the risks that face those who seek to cross the azure deeps? Should the manpower be found I am quite confident that the timber and expertise exists for the construction and maintenance of at least a few vessels worthy of bearing the flag of the free republic. It is however worth noting that the relative opposition we face upon water is small and the worth of such a force may be minor but if suitable enthusiasm exists from below I am confident that any material obstructions can be removed.

The continued struggle with the Vesperian Trade Company is largely the construct of a few overly zealous individuals. It is fundamentally not the Vesperian Militia’s duty to go about in pursuit of funds relating to taxes required in the face of the hostility we find in the world. I shall appoint certain specific individuals of the most diplomatic and yet forceful disposition to be tax collectors however such should not concern the wider public over much. It should also be remembered that the Vesperian Trade Company is staffed by Vesperians and any crime against them is a serious one indeed. The Militia is an instrument for the defense of the civilian population, the guardianship of liberty and taking the light of our freedom into places where it has gone out. It does not exist for repressing or otherwise inflicting harm upon our fair and vital citizenry.

Will we be acquiring new lands? You shall have to wait and see. At present Vesper is more than large enough for the population. Should it increase we may seek to acquire territories however such is not my present intention. In order to hold onto islands we would have to garrison a group of the Militia there and such division can lead to problems at home. It has been discovered in the past that some groups quickly become the prerogative of trouble makers who pursue activities independent of the body politic back here in Vesper. That is however not to deny the construction of fortifications in positions of strategic interest to defend our Republic’s existence. Ultimately my aim is to establish a world where the whole population has the freedoms and liberties we enjoy here in Vesper. Such a world would lead to the pursuit of great wealth for all. The manic zealots of Yew would be pacified meanwhile the exploitative kleptocrats in Trinsic shall be expunged. It is not to establish a Vesperian Empire from Windemere to Jhelom where a specific few grow powerful through exploiting the masses. Such is the faith of the loyalists which must be opposed at all costs.

However one cannot have timber without felling trees. The loyalist crimes are both self evident and their arrogance remains great.
They have brought war upon themselves and should they persist in their folly their lands shall be stained red.
