New - Question on 15-Day Trial

Hi everyone. I've been wanting to try UO for years now, and I have some spare time, so I decided to download the "free" trial and give it a try, only problem is this.

I have my "Unique Ultima Online Gold Key" which I used, but now I need to give my credit card information, which is fine, but, the 3 choices are, I pay for 1 month + 15 free days, 3 months + 15 free days, and 6months + 15 free days.

Do I have to pay for the first month, in order to play those "free" 15 days? I thought the whole idea to Free Trials is to give it a try, for FREE, before knowing if you want to pay to play.

Anyone have an answer for me? I'd greatly appreciate it.

nope, your cc will be charged after that 15 day trail expires.

So I can just cancel it before the 15 days are up and I won't be charged?

Yeah, think I did the one month free thing the first time I played (off of a friends CD). Cancelled it with no problem, but started up my current account shortly after

I downloaded the trial this afternoon, registered my account with hubby's cc information, cancelled the account (wanted the free trial, and thought it would still work.. should I have cancelled before the card was due to be charged?), and I'm still having trouble connecting to the server. What the heck am I doing wrong?! Running Windows Vista, so I'm wondering if that's the problem.

Any help would be immensely appreciated, as I'm losing my mind and about ready to toss my computer.

When you are cancelling your account you are given 2 choices, Play with the remaining time or forfit your remaining time and close the account immediatly. When you say your having problems can you be more specific? IE are you getting an error? crashes?

It says "Couldn't connect to Ultima Online. Please try again in a few moments."

Even when I try again, it tells me the same thing.
